Acoustic Cafe – Friday, January 20 – Devin Scillian


Acoustic Cafe is a popular annual program that entertains audiences every Friday night through March with talented artists providing a variety of musical genres: jazz, rock, country, classical, blues, pop and more.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. No reservations required – you pay at the door.  General admission is $8  LAC member admission is $6.

Devin Scillian, news anchor for WDIV Channel 4, is also an accomplished musician and songwriter. He’s won the prestigious Detroit Music Award for Best Country Performer and has released three albums of his original songs.

As a journalist, Scillian brings national and international reporting experience to his position as anchor of WDIV-TV in Detroit. He joined the station in August, 1995 as a reporter and moved into the anchor position in 1996. He’s been honored for his work both at home and abroad.

Scillian is also the author of 15 children’s books. His book “A is for America” became a national best-seller. His book, “Memoirs of a Goldfish,” won the Wanda Gag Award for the nation’s best “read aloud” book.
