Your monetary donations support the following:

  • Concerts at the Courthouse – 8 week summer concert series
  • Acoustic Cafe – 6 week winter concert series
  • Runway Repurposed – the art of Fashion Design using recycled clothing
  • Got Art – Youth art exhibit, K-12
  • Art at the Opera House – Fine Art Show and Sale
  • Scary Storytelling – during Legend of Sleepy Howell
  • Open Studio – for all artists with live model

Howell Opera House




Membership is a vital element in sustaining the Howell Opera House and supporting the Livingston Arts Council. Like our donors, members and volunteers become our partners in the effort to establish the arts in the heart of civic life in Livingston County!

All members receive a membership card, email newsletter, and email event schedule throughout the year to keep them informed. Members also receive an admission discount at most LAC events and on rental space.

Sponsorships support events and programs at the Howell Opera House by underwriting costs making it possible for successful fundraising.  There are many opportunities for sponsorships throughout the year for the organization’s major annual events but also for smaller developed programs.

Sponsorship benefits include highlighting the business logo on the website and Facebook page with a link to the business; signage and acknowledgement at the sponsored event or program; complimentary tickets and reserved seating; inclusion in press releases; and other marketing advantages.

To advance this mission, Livingston Arts Council has established the Howell Opera House Endowment Fund. This fund allows us to accept major or lifetime gifts as well as gifts of appreciated stock, real estate, life insurance, or retirement plans, all with the goal of long term sustainability of the Howell Opera House complex and its vital programs.

When you shop you support arts, culture and the Howell Opera House.  Same great site as but with a charitable twist!

Then every time you shop at the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases.

Save your VG’s Receipts!
Direct Your Dollars is a receipt-based program, meaning that we can raise money simply by doing something we all do each week – going to the grocery store.
Every time you shop at your local VG’s store, save your receipts – and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Once we’ve collected $150,000 in receipts from these stores, we can turn those slips of paper into a $1,000 check for the Livingston Arts Council!
You can drop your receipts off at the Opera House offices or if you aren’t able to drop your receipts off in person, you can also mail them to PO Box 626, Howell MI 48844.
