Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the history of the Native American culture on November 4 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
The stories shared in ‘Our Fires Still Burn: The Native American Experience’ are powerful, startling, despairing and inspiring. They reflect an American history fraught with the systematic destruction of a people. Yet, amidst the debris of suffering and trauma, there is resilience and a profound remembering and healing taking place today.
This exciting and compelling one hour documentary by Audrey Geyer, an independent video producer from Brighton, Michigan, invites viewers into the lives of contemporary Native American role models living in the U.S. Midwest. The documentary was previously aired on PBS Detroit.
A question and answer period by Ms Geyer will follow.
